At Macedonia Christian Church, we are dedicated to EMPOWER others to know Christ, EMBRACE the grace of Jesus, and GROW our relationship with God.
We believe in the power of community and strive to build strong relationships with our members and those in need.
Be a community living out our faith because of the grace of Jesus!
EMPOWER others to know Christ, EMBRACE the grace of Jesus, and GROW our relationship with God.
We desire to glorify God through worship that is rooted in scripture, and that draws us closer to Him.
We are called to serve our community and those in need, through both physical and spiritual acts of love and kindness.
We seek to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all people, and to share the gospel through both deed and word.
We prioritize the practice of discipling others in the faith, helping them to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.
We believe in biblical generosity to meet the needs of both the community and the church.
We seek to foster unity in diversity, standing together as a church family united in our purpose of sharing God’s love.
We believe in the power of community and endeavor to cultivate meaningful connections among people in all stages of life.
The church was not built to stay within the four walls. We believe in playing an active role in Community efforts in the Central, Ky area.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe God is eternally and simultaneously both one and three: Father, Son, and
Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
We believe that the Bible is the divinely preserved and inspired Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting,
and training in righteousness.
We believe that Jesus Christ was, in the flesh, both God and man, that he died for our
sins, and that he rose from the dead.
Colossians 2:9: For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.
We believe that every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall
short of God’s perfection, making union with God by human effort impossible.
Romans 3:23: For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Ephesians 2:8-9: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for
this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of
us can boast about it.
When one is saved through faith they are said to be “born again” by the indwelling
presence of the Holy Spirit. We believe the natural response is to show our faith publicly
through baptism, a pattern set by Jesus.
Mark 1:9-10: About that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptized him in
the Jordan River. As soon as Jesus came out of the water, he saw the sky open and the Holy
Spirit coming down to him like a dove.
The Church is The body of Christ on earth. It exists to share the good news of new life in
Jesus Christ to the world, to make known His teachings, and to empower His followers for
serving.
1 Corinthians 12:27: All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.
We Believe the purpose of meeting together is to have community, share in the
teachings of the Bible, take part in prayer and worship and celebrating Jesus’ salvation
by taking communion. Often referred to as the Lords Supper it is a moment of eating
some bread and drinking juice as a symbol of Jesus Sacrifice.
1 Corinthians 11:23-25: For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord himself. On the
night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for
it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in
remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper,
saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement
confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”
We believe in the hope and reality of Jesus Christ’s return.
John 14:1-3: Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith
in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was
true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will
come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.
